January 2023 Cohort
The second cohort included Cherish Marquez, a visual artist based in Denver whose work explores environmental justice, mysticism, mental health, queer identities, and healing from generational trauma through interactive animation and game design; and Glen Helfand, a writer, curator, and critic based in Oakland, exploring artโs role within popular culture, conceptual strategies, emotional capacity, subjectivity, and California as location. Principal funding for the project has been provided by the S. Kent Rockwell Foundation.
